On the occasion of awarding the degree of visiting professor of the University of Zagreb, School of Medicine Professor Steven Zivko Pavletic, M.D., M.S., will hold his inaugural lecture “Chronic GvHD – A Remaining Unmet Medical Need And The Challenges Of Clinical Trials” on 30th March 2016. at 13:00 at the School of Medicine, Šalata 4, Lecture Hall 1 (CEPAMET).Prof. Pavletic works at the National Institutes of Health (NIH, Bethesda, Maryland, USA) as the head of Graft-versus-Host and Autoimmunity Unit at the National Cancer Institute (NCI), Experimental Transplantation and Immunology Branch. He is also an associate at the National Institute for Arthritis and Musculoskeletal and Skin Diseases and an adjunct full professor of medicine and oncology at the Georgetown University in Washington DC. Prof. Pavletic’s main research interest is chronic Graft-versus-Host Disease (cGVHD), actively leading a multidisciplinary inter-institute clinical research program at the NIH.
